Data Usage & API Disclosure

Last updated · May 2026

SCENE blends first-party signals with third-party data providers to deliver live city intelligence. This disclosure explains the major data sources and their limits.

1. Third-Party Providers

  • Mapping & places: Google Maps Platform and other mapping APIs.
  • Venue metadata: public listings, partner integrations.
  • Authentication: Google OAuth.
  • Payments: Stripe.
  • AI models: OpenAI and Google generative model providers.

2. Accuracy & Availability

Third-party data may be incomplete, delayed, or temporarily unavailable. Hours of operation, addresses, and ratings may differ from reality. SCENE makes a best-effort attempt to reconcile sources but does not guarantee accuracy.

3. Data Usage Rights

Data shown in SCENE is provided under the terms of the underlying providers. You may not scrape, redistribute, resell, or build a competing dataset from the content displayed in SCENE.

4. First-Party Signals

SCENE generates internal signals from aggregated user behavior, search patterns, location pings (when permitted), and check-ins. These signals are used in aggregate, never to identify specific users to venues or other users without consent.

5. Attribution

Where required by a provider's terms (for example, Google Maps Platform), attribution is shown in-app. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.
